Welcome!

Countries in the Caribbean Region are at differing stages of development relative to energy needs and resource usage. The Oil & Gas business is of great importance to Trinidad and Tobago being one of the regions exporters. The Oil & Gas sector contributes over 70 percent of the country's foreign exchange earnings and approximately 25 percent of the country's Gross Domestic Product. Trinidad and Tobago is among the top LNG producers in the world and is export leaders of Ammonia and Methanol.

STLE's Caribbean Region Section recognizes the opportunities available to position itself as a preferred host in the training and development of our people. STLE has pioneered studies in Tribology and Lubrication Engineering at the University of the West Indies since 2005. STLE Caribbean Region Section has been attracting a significant increase in participation to our annual education courses. We know this new development will play an important role in furthering the understanding of optimum critical equipment reliability.
